Terms of service.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") outline the agreement between you ("the Client") and Mopping by Maude, a domestic cleaning service based in Kingsley Holt. By booking a service, you agree to abide by the terms set out below.
1. Services Provided
Mopping by Maude offers domestic cleaning services, including routine house cleaning, deep cleaning, and related domestic cleaning tasks. All services are booked either online or via phone.
2. Booking & Access
All appointments must be confirmed in advance.
Clients must inform Mopping by Maude at least 1 hour before the scheduled appointment on how access to the property.
If access is not possible upon arrival and no arrangement was communicated, Mopping by Maude reserves the right to leave and charge the full fee for the missed service.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours in advance.
If cancelled less than 12 hours before the scheduled appointment, the full-service fee is still due.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is preferred immediately after the service.
All invoices must be settled within 7 calendar days from the date of service.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients are expected to tidy the space prior to the cleaner’s arrival (e.g., removing toys, doing dishes, clearing surfaces).
Pets must be secured or locked away during the service.
Please remove or secure any valuables or breakables before service.
6. Satisfaction & Quality
A standard cleaning checklist will be followed for all services.
If the checklist has been followed and completed, no refunds will be issued for dissatisfaction.
Refunds will only be issued in the event of damage directly caused by Mopping by Maude.
7. Liability
Mopping by Maude is covered under public liability insurance.
The company is not responsible for:
Damage caused by improper or pre-existing conditions.
Items not removed or properly stored by the client.
Pet-related incidents.
8. Right to Refuse Service
Mopping by Maude reserves the right to:
Refuse service if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.
Leave a property if access is not provided or pets are not secured.
Charge full payment in these cases.
9. Changes to Terms
Mopping by Maude may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes where appropriate.
